The Executive Director of Workplace Investigations is a newly created leadership position on the Colleague Relations team. You will design and implement a best in class workplace investigation process; provide expert guidance and mentoring to the workplace investigators on the team. The team is responsible for handling all investigations of employee matters that may be a potential violation of law or company policy
This role is expected to be a strong collobator amongst peers along with key stakeholders from HR, legal, and compliance to build and implement this function within Colleague Relations. This includes definiting operational excellence with our VP and Operations leaders. The ED of Workplace Investgiations, will develop processes, workflows, and other materials to document the independence and integrity of our workplace investigations for the Enterprise. Importantly, this leader will drive the transformation of the function from reactive to proactive engagement with our business partners by upholding our Heart at Work behaviors.

•Manage, develop, coach, support and build a growing team of investigators, strengthening leadership and promoting career growth.
•Deliver compliance education training programs and advanced investigation training to proactively address workplace issues.
•Lead/manage complex internal investigations of matters relating to any potential employee misconduct, including allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, bullying, privacy concerns, conflict of interest, integrity, failure to escalate code of conduct violations, inappropriate access, breach of confidentiality obligations, and other violations of law or policy.
•Develop trust and rapport and influence partners and business leaders.
•Articulate issues to the business in the form of findings and conclusions so that long-term solutions can be developed and applied.
•Partner cross-functionally with Employment Law, HR and Employee Relations Business Partners, Security, Internal Audit, Compliance and the businesses and other legal teams to build trust and effectuate collaborative partnerships across the organization.
•Ensure investigations result in remediation's that maintain a respectful culture and support a culture of compliance.
•Utilize data to develop long-term solutions for systemic issues.
•Model respectful and empathetic behavior in the face of difficult and uncomfortable situations .surrounding an investigation.
•Drive innovation as a thought leader by bringing strategic direction to the team.
•Ability to travel at least 10-15%.

•10+ years of experience, either in conducting and/or managing investigations or in practicing labor and employment law dealing directly with fact witnesses.
•Experience conducting investigations that will withstand legal scrutiny in multiple jurisdictions.
•Experience identifying relevant legal issues.
•Experience summarizing and documenting investigations findings and recommendations.
•Experience presenting findings and recommendations to leadership or those with dissenting opinions.
•Relationship management experience in a cross-functional environment.
• Juris Doctor Degree
