The Hybrid Cloud Enablement organization leads the end-to-end delivery and operations of cloud services to the CVS Health enterprise. The Cloud Architect is a role inside the Cloud Infrastructure CoE team which has the responsibility for driving the strategy and architecture of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud services across the three major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP). This role ensures we are effectively setting public cloud enterprise standards for CVS Health with an optimized operational model.
In this role, you will constantly evaluate new cloud products and vendor solutions in order to recommend the best end-to-end solutions that can be implemented enterprise-wide. A solid background of cloud infrastructure components, application leverage techniques, and hands-on cloud implementation experience will help you to succeed within the team and company.
Additional responsibilities include:
Leads design of new Cloud technologies by partnering with application teams.
-Evaluates cloud technology alternatives and makes a case for the best approach. Hands-on proof of concept work will be required in IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS cloud products.
-Develops design diagrams and corresponding documentation to set enterprise best practices for cloud adoption.
-Manages relationships with application teams and prioritizes multiple projects as they go from design into production.
-Collaborates with teams across the company (i.e. network, security, operations) to build complete cloud offerings.
-Designs Disaster Recovery and backup strategies to meet application objectives.
-Uses innovative thinking to shape our standard enterprise cloud architecture offerings and partner with application teams to achieve proper cloud adoption models.
-Minimum 10 years of experience in Cloud technologies including IaaS, PaaS, and software-as-a-service.
-Experience with cloud infrastructure components (network, compute, storage, load balancers) and how applications should best leverage each.
-Experience with cloud implementations and deep understanding of public cloud infrastructure concepts.
-Experience evaluating and recommending new solutions to meet enterprise requirements.
