Staff Pharmacist - Per Diem
Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital
Philadelphia, PA

Description: As a per diem, nonexempt, Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Staff Pharmacist at Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital you will fill orders with accuracy; check technician-prepared products before release; maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances; enter orders and patient information with accuracy; aid in the training of new staff; update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy; and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Schedule: This position can work up to 19 hours per week, and will provide coverage "as needed". Hours for this position are between 8:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, every other weekend from 8:00am-12:00pm, as well as working Holidays from 8:00am-12:00pm. 

About the Facility: Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital is an acute treatment facility for adults, adolescents and children located in the Philadelphia suburb of Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, on a wooded 11-acre campus.  The 146-bed facility provides a safe and comfortable environment for patients suffering from mental illness and behavioral disorders.  Brooke Glen provides patients and their families with the resources and support they need to address acute life crises or behavioral health disorders standing in the way of a peaceful and productive life.  Their mission is to deliver high-quality, effective behavioral health services with compassion and respect for patients and their families. Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  •  Current PA Pharmacist license in good standing
  •  Experience as a Pharmacist in a hospital setting, preferred, but will consider retail experience
  •  Proficient computer skills using pharmacy systems and Microsoft Office
  •  Demonstrated customer service skills 
  •  Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  •  Effective communications skills; verbal and written
