Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Description: As a per diem, non-exempt Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; procuring drugs and supplies, invoice management; and other tasks delegated by the pharmacist. You will carry out your job duties according to written procedures and guidelines based on pharmacy standards and regulatory requirements.

Schedule: This position will work up to 19 hours per week, providing coverage "as needed". This position has no regularly scheduled hours. This position will work between 8:00am-2:30pm Monday-Friday.

About the Facility:  Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia which opened in 2013, is a licensed 36-bed acute care psychiatric hospital providing inpatient psychiatric stabilization and treatment to adults ages 55 and older who are experiencing acute symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders and psychosis. We also treat individuals who are suffering from other medical conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer's disease. Patients are treated through a program of comprehensive assessments, medication evaluation and stabilization before a coordinated return to an appropriate environment. We are a facility committed to excellence for the treatment of our patients.  Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of CPS.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy, Pyxis experience preferred
  • PA Licensure/Registration/Certification requirements
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

 

Hospital Requirements:

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th
