PHARMACY TECHNICIAN – PER DIEM
Hours: This position is scheduled to work 16 hours per week; 4-hour day shifts between Monday-Friday, with occasional coverage for time off on weekends.
As a per diem, nonexempt Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS) Pharmacy Technician at Wellstone Regional, you will assist in various pharmacy activities under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Your responsibilities will include preparing, delivering, and restocking medications; procuring drugs; and auditing patient records. There are no IVs or compounding in this pharmacy.
About the facility: Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed psychiatric hospital and outpatient center for children, adolescents and adults. This position will provide pharmacy services for the inpatient population. The pharmacy is open daytime hours Monday through Friday from 7a-3:30p, and weekends from 7a-11a. Management of the pharmacy is outsourced to Comprehensive Pharmacy Services (CPS). All Pharmacy staff are CPS employees.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of IN Board of Pharmacy approved training program OR national PTCB/ExCPT is required
- Recent pharmacy technician work experience (in a hospital setting preferred)
- Ability to work cooperatively with other members of CPS and hospital and pharmacy staff
