College is currently seeking applicants for a part-time Engineering Professor. Lecture rate is $85.48/hour and the lab rate is $73.01/hour.

This part-time position is an ongoing recruitment in which applications are collected year-round. Positions will be filled as program needs arise.

Position Responsibilities

General Faculty Responsibilities:

  • Strive to enhance teaching and active learning techniques
  • Use Canvas to assess student progress and provide timely feedback
  • Use appropriate teaching methods to respond to varying student learning styles
  • Effectively use computer applications for instruction and communication where appropriate
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the mission of the College, its student population, and educational goals
Position Specific Responsibilities:
  • Teach Introduction to Design
  • Instruct classes and labs utilizing techniques and knowledge of the engineering design process that facilitates student learning
  • Uphold engineering department curriculum standards
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Competencies

  • Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, or related engineering field
  • Experience in mentoring, training, or teaching
  • Experience in technical communication
  • Ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work well with people of all ages from academically, culturally, and socioeconomically diverse backgrounds.
