We are growing and currently looking for a 2nd shift Machine Operator to join our team in the Specialty Department at Kaytee in Chilton. Your primary role is to accurately produce finished product on the Production and Packaging lines.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS- Maintain a high quality product.
- Start machine; make necessary adjustments; perform required troubleshooting.
- Accurately complete production paperwork.
- Follow production line schedule in a timely manner.
- Maintain open line of communication with shift supervision.
- Monitor ingredient levels.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Understand and support the goals and objectives of the department.
- Comply with all safety rules and company policies.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent bending, lifting and twisting.
- Ability to work independently in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Possess solid organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Effectively communicate with others in a manner which promotes a “team” environment.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (add, subtract, multiple and divide).
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Work environment will vary due to outside temperatures.
- Must be able to work in hot conditions.
- Must be able to work in wet conditions during clean up.
- Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours (on each respective shift) and average at least 40 hours a week.
- There may be some variation in work hours due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.
