Essential Functions: The Central Florida Health Alliance Information Technology department maintains a twenty four hours per day, seven days per week helpdesk. Although the helpdesk technician position is considered an entry level position, a basic knowledge of personal computer hardware and software required. This position also requires a high level of customer service orientation. Communication is a critical part of this position and the technician must demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels. This position requires a basic knowledge of general personal computer operations and issues and will be involved in both hardware and software tasks. Additionally, this position will be expected to develop a high level of knowledge and expertise concerning PC hardware and software operations. It is expected that assistance will be provided for multiple issues, user problems, upgrades, and general troubleshooting as needed. This position will be expected to maintain an effective level of technical proficiency in order to meet the demands of the organization.

Educational Requirements / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required

  • Basic knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer
  • Functional knowledge of PC support, installation, configuration and troubleshooting
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
