The eHomecare Manager is responsible for overseeing the eHomecare Nursing Program which involves Directing Registered Nurses and Enhanced Personal Support Workers. The eHomecare Manager manages eHomecare Support Workers and Directing RNs, and drives the operational needs of the division and handles recruitment and retention initiatives.


  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring for need to increase staffing / replace staff who have left as defined by the needs of the eHomecare Program in collaboration with NMs & Director of the local division
  • Responsible for arranging job postings, screen resumes, interviewing and selecting suitable candidates; present offers and ensure proper new hire documentation is completed
  • Ensure all eHomecare Support Workers complete competency assessment prior to education
  • Lead /facilitate orientation and education in palliative care and/or pediatric care; plan and arrange technology, orientation, organizing materials
  • Facilitate skills days for new and existing eHomecare Support Workers
  • Review eHomecare Support Workers Policy & Procedure Manual with eHomecare Support Workers and new Directing Registered Nurses
  • Assist in development of working schedules in keeping with hiring agreements
  • Assess new referrals for eHomecare Support Workers ability to observe and report adequately
  •  Perform preceptor/mentorship visits with eHomecare Support Workers  with certification in skills delegated to them – this is required for every client that this skill is required for – non-transferrable between clients
  •  Trouble shoot and problem solve as required – must be flexible to needs
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with LHIN Care Coordinators to ensure success of program
  •  Complete occurrence reports as required related to eHomecare Program
  •  Conduct home visits as required to address complex client/family challenges
  • Ability to participate in on-call responsibilities. 


  • Registered Nurse with current Certificate of registration with The College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Between 3 to 6 years community nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent computer skills is required
  • Thorough knowledge of case management skills and nursing processes and practices.
  • Experience working with clients receiving Palliative care or completed Palliative Care courses
  • Previous Supervisory experience is considered an asset
  • Valid driver's license, own vehicle and appropriate insurance
