Details: This position will support operations in Wisconsin and the Mid-West for managers on vacation or covering when a transition is occurring. Travel will be throughout the Mid-West with overnight stays lasting one week or longer. Anticipated schedule will include nights/weekends/holidays and when not on an assignment, this position could experience furlough weeks. Experience in, but not limited to the following, is desired: culinary management, costing, menu creation, and financials.

Position Summary:

 

This is a Great Opportunity to join a great company. We are seeking a growth minded Floating/Bench Support Chef Manager for our growing business. In this role you will support the culinary operations in the Wisconsin/Mid-West Region. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Full culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering and receiving
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
  • Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products
  • Possesses a passion for sustainability

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Minimum of Associate's degree in Culinary Arts
  • Must have a working knowledge of HACCP
  • Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control
  • Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Must be willing to travel throughout the Mid-West/Wisconsin with overnight stays lasting one week or longer and a schedule that will include nights/weekends/holidays
  • Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable
  • ServSafe certified is a plus
