TITLE: Director of Quality Risk and Safety
LOCATION: Carlin, NV Would you like to work in a facility that will allow you to have work/life balance and they don't treat you like an employee but part of their family.
This area is at the base of the Ruby Mountains in the high dessert. It is not like Las Vegas or Reno. It offers the mountains, skiing, scenic bikeways, lakes and rivers.
It also offers a vibrant community that has theatre, galleries and some cowboy country all in a town of 35,000 population.

Summary:
Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental goals and facilities objectives. Responsibilities:
Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistant with the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Prepares, monitors and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance whit allocated funding. Coordinates internal/external audits.
Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
Integrates evidence based practices into operations and clinical protocols. Quality – leads the initiatives for the National Quality Program: which educates entire facility on Foundational 5 (briefs/debriefs/huddles/executive patient safety rounding/quality learning boards).
Leading physician meetings (Med Exec, utilization management, department specific (i.e. OB, Cardio), and preparing and presenting data to the monthly Hospital Board meeting.
Preparing for and leading TJC surveys hospital wide.
Leading HCAP initiatives to move the needle to better scores. Qualifications:
Bachelors required. Masters preferred.
RN license required.
3-5 years of healthcare management experience within quality, risk, and/or patient safety required.
Experience analyzing patient data and proven ability to implement actionable performance improvement plans required.
Requires of knowledge of department and hospital policies and procedures, OSHA, TJC standards. Additional Info:
Facility is 75 beds and is state of the art and the community population is around 35,000. They are located at the base of the Ruby Mountains so a great place to live.
The Director will have 3 RNs report directly to them(One Infection Control/Employee Health RN, and 2 Quality specialists).
The HCAP scores need to be improved so looking for someone that can show they have experience with this.
Risk – 70% of this job is coordinating and extracting data for litigation cases, and managing the electronic employee reporting RL Solutions.
Safety – Participating in Leap Frog, workers compensation (partnered with HR), CMS reporting.
The range for the position is between 115-120K and an excellent benefit package with relocation and a sign-on/retention bonus of 10K as well is offered.
