Description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for administering and assisting new team members with on-boarding and training within their assigned departments.  This position would also need to be cross trained on both sides of the facility and work in 3 month increments on each side.  

Essential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:

Complete new hire tours and PPE distribution

Complete all Onboarding paperwork and DAR's 

Maintain all training documentation and sign-up sheets

Work with safety on JSA's and training issues

Support safety manager as needed

Complete annual training of material handling equipment

Administer LOTO and material handling classroom and testing as needed

Follows all work safety policies and guidelines

Inventory and unload PPE into boot room

Issue PPE and lockers to new hires

Adheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) product standards and guidelines

Maintains a clean and organized work area

Performs other duties as assigned

Assure compliance with all Safety/Food safety procedures

Train hourly team members as needed when developing new processes and products

Administer retraining to  hourly team members when needed

Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours

Additional duties as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to learn and work on either side of the facility (Mfg & Pack) for 3 months @ a time

Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions

Ability to problem solve 

Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

Must pass a background check, drug screen

Must be able to read and write

Need to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMP'S SSOP'S and USDA

Computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Physical Requirements:

Standing (4 to 6 hours per day)

Completing required paperwork in timely manner

Using material handling equipment as needed

Working Conditions/Department Description:

Work in damp and cold environment as needed

Work with loud and noisy machinery as needed

Work in dusty environment when using spice as needed
