JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of the Director of Organizational Development is leading the analysis of business needs and development and create and implement an enterprise people development strategy.

The role will be responsible for:

  • enterprise development strategy that aligns to our strategic agenda and capability requirements
  • developing leadership, individual and team development programs, across diverse learning topics and disciplines
  • optimizing key functional partnerships and learning technology that enables development across the enterprise
  • developing organizational leadership capability focused on developing others

They build and lead an effective team of consultants and practitioners that can unlock the potential of leaders, teams, and our organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA in human resources, organization development (training and development), organization effectiveness, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive and multi-discipline training and organizational development with proven success in organization capability analysis, learning program design and development, learning facilitation and reinforcement, technology enablement and performance management
  • Minimum 3 years leading and developing people and teams or leading in a matrix environment
  • Minimum 3 years managing large scale projects and programs for mid-size or large companies

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's Degree (MBA, MA) Organization Development or Psychology is preferred
  • Previous experience in launching, expanding or enhancing learning programs
  • Certification in one or more learning platforms
  • Senior leader coaching and business consulting
  • Experience serving and supporting diverse functions (manufacturing/supply and production, R & D, sales and marketing, G & A)
  • Meaningful exposure to agribusiness industry

Strategy and Program Development

  • Develop and have an on-going understanding of the industry and Butterball's strategic agenda, competency strengths and gaps
  • Create a sustainable strategy and progressive OD framework that will address our short-term and long-term talent development needs across the enterprise
  • Build a roadmap for the evolution of Butterball's organizational development strategy (current to future state)
  • Introduces, supports and champions innovative, relevant and sustainable programs and practices, that promote capability growth, inclusion and belonging at Butterball

Business Partnership

  • Builds collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization and has a keen understanding of our short and long-term capability needs
  • Consults and advises the business on initiatives and talent readiness
  • Leads critical leadership discussions that build awareness and provide clarity on the role of the business in developing people
  • Uses business steering committees or communities of practice to validate the strategy and delivery of value-added solutions

Leadership and Developing People

  • Defines the collective purpose of Organization Development
  • Sets direction for the team and ensures alignment of performance to its purpose and objectives
  • Identifies and secures the capabilities and roles required to deliver the OD strategy
  • Acts as a champion people developer, building an effective team, inspired and empowered to grow
  • Manages and adapts OD resources (internal and external) to support the strategy.

Process and Policy Excellence

  • Defines any relevant policy or guidance related to learning and development to promote inclusion and belonging
  • Ensures that learning programs are accessible to the enterprise
  • Enables learning through efficient and effective learning processes
  • Provides planning tools to encourage and sustain learning

System and Data Optimization

  • Identify system and technology support required to deliver the OD strategy
  • Leads configuration of current and new technology to ensure alignment to our programs
  • Identifies and develops reporting and analytics structure to support strategic planning and decision making, business alignment, and performance against objectives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Expert in OD disciplines and concepts; certified in multiple learning platforms
  • Ability to identify and develop team capabilities
  • Excellent communication and business consultation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Sense of urgency and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy environment methodically using business partnering and project management skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong, effective internal and external customer relationships
  • Ability to understand organizational complexity and adapt solutions to maximize value
  • Strength in reporting performance metrics and data analytics
