Job Description:

The Director, Accreditation & Assessment provides leadership and support for institutional accreditation and ongoing assessment activities. The Director, l working with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the Dean's office coordinates processes of accreditation for new and existing programs, including completion of institutional self-studies; ensures compliance with CEPH requirements and recommendations, as well as federal, state, and local regulations; and researches and provides guidance on best practices for assessment in higher education and schools of public health. The Director also stewards the School of Public Health (SPH) self-study process, as part of a wider program of academic program review, mission and goals.

Education and Experience

  • Required: Master's degree in social sciences, research/statistics, qualitative analysis, health sciences, education or related field. .
  • 5-7 years of experience in higher education administration with a broad understanding of current practices and frameworks around learning and assessment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with multiple faculty, students and staff, as well as external visitors.
  • Demonstrated experience representing an institution with national accrediting bodies and other commissions.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with internal and external constituents.
  • Strong project-management and office management skills to facilitate timely and professional deliverables.

  • Administrative expertise with abilities to set priorities, organize and coordinate on office operation, anticipate needs, work under the pressure of deadlines and exercise good judgment, particularly with sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Computer proficiency in word processing, data management and spreadsheets
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying needs, conducting research and developing innovative proposals, solutions and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment.
