Press Brake Operator and Fabricator
Work in a dynamic and growing fabrication group operating various computer numerical control (CNC) machinery. Work with various CNC mills and lathes and interpret engineering drawings to produce fabricated parts or components. Work alongside more senior machinist and follow work assignments in compliance to quality procedures and processes. Program machinery and develop machining sequencing to complete mechanical components. Assist more senior machinists to analyze CAD software files for incorporation into machine programming.
Experience with reading drawings and blueprints
Experience with checking height, depth, and thickness using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and gauges
Experience with working from drawings and sketches, read and understand specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, the sequence of operations, and set up requirements
Experience with operating a forklift
Knowledge of CNC controller to program press brake for accurate forming
Ability to set up and operate press brakes to fabricate custom parts
Ability to select the correct custom or standard tooling for the job per work ticket and blueprints
Ability to adjust ram and back gauge and other machine settings as needed to meet part specifications
Ability to obtain a security clearance
HS diploma or GED
