Employment Law, Associate General Counsel

On our team, you'll build trusted partnerships across the firm and collaborate with fellow members of the Legal, Ethics & Compliance team to protect and advance the company, while navigating the complex, multifaceted, and often novel legal and compliance risks we face today. Guided by Booz Allen's purpose and values, together we'll anticipate and proactively prepare for the issues we'll encounter tomorrow. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:
  • 8+ years of experience practicing employment law in a law firm, corporate or government environment

  • Experience advising clients and business partners at all levels of leadership on a wide range of employment-related matters, including employment claims, wage and hour issues, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, high-risk performance management issues, workplace safety, military and medical leaves, and accommodations

  • Experience leading or advising on complex employment investigations of matters involving employee misconduct, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, conflict of interest, and other violations of law or policy

  • Experience managing and responding to administrative and government agency charges, audits, and requests, and managing outside legal counsel in employment litigation matters

  • Ability to listen actively and ensure that the right questions are being asked and answered

  • Ability to translate technical advice into succinct, clear, and direct business solutions

  • Ability to execute against clear objectives, priorities, and success metrics/KPIs

  • Ability to partner with client leaders and partners to build consensus on complex employment law and business issues

  • J.D. degree

  • Active bar admission in any state or the District of Columbia

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with government contracting, including in a professional services firm

  • Experience in Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) counseling, executive compensation, merger and acquisitions due diligence, and Service Contract Act

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide integrated and durable solutions

  • Experience working under pressure, managing multiple complex matters simultaneously and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,100 to $264,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
