Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Competency Lead

Key Role:
Design, develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to increase DEI competency for people leaders, engage the full workforce in learning about DEI, and inculcate the consideration of equity in the creation of solutions, products and services across the institution at the intersection of technology and psychology. Design a DEI competency strategy with two pathways – driving focused DEI learning that leads to increasingly inclusive leadership and equitable decision making, and the connection of equity in the full suite of solutions and services Booz Allen builds for clients. Determine an effective organizational change management strategy to drive this institutional awareness of DEI, specifically for people leaders who influence the careers of other employees. Become deeply familiar with the firm's core capabilities, such as Digital Listening, Artificial Intelligence, and Immersive Reality, to influence stakeholders in their consideration of equity in design, and to identify areas of deploying cutting edge technologies to the DEI mission. Oversee institution-wide DEI mandatory learning, including the design of effective DEI learning modules that could potentially be multifaceted in use and leveraged to support our clients while amplifying Booz Allen's commitment to DEI. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with leading and developing comprehensive change management, communications, or talent strategies

  • Experience with producing client-ready products, optimizing business performance, and managing market-level projects

  • Experience with building and maintaining client relationships in a team-based management consulting environment

  • Knowledge of DEI initiatives

  • Knowledge of the organization structure and culture

  • Knowledge of Booz Allen's demographics, culture, channels, and expertise

  • Ability to differentiate between strategy and tactics

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and provision of quality assurance

  • Ability to think autonomously and take initiative

  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience in social innovation or working at the nexus of capabilities and broader DEI impact

  • Experience with facilitating in–person and virtual meetings with clients

  • Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Possession of business analysis and strategic problem-solving skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Possession of excellent leadership, analytical, and data management skills

  • Possession of Power Point presentation skills
