Cybersecurity Risk Analyst, Senior

The Challenge:

Warnings about cyber threats are everywhere and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to military organizations. In all of this “cyber noise”, how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you – an information security risk specialist who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As a cybersecurity risk professional on our team, you'll use your experience to discover their cyber risks, comprehend applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You'll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from information system security managers (ISSMs) to assess the entire threat landscape. You'll work with your client to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission confidentiality, integrity, and availability. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in risk management at the Headquarters level.

You Have:

-Experience in supporting the mission of cybersecurity and applying subject matter expertise with cyber compliance assessment tools and procedures and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-IAT/IAM Level II Certification

Nice If You Have:

-Experience with space systems

-Experience in conducting risk assessment procedures on cybersecurity capabilities to provide clients with solutions for enhancing cyber risk awareness and support senior-level accreditation and authorization decisions

-Experience with consulting headquarters-level personnel on the technical implementation of solutions for promoting the sustainment of cybersecurity across multiple technology areas

-Experience with research of emerging technology and requisite security requirements and emerging threats and developing the way forwards to meet organizational goals

-Knowledge of DoD 8500.01, 8510.01, NIST 800-37, 800-53, 800-39, and 800-30

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree in CS, Engineering, or Mathematics

-IAT/IAM Level III Certification


Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.


The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 95,000 to 125,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
