Intellectual Property, Associate General Counsel

As a key part of our Intellectual Property practice area, you'll support our forward-thinking and purpose-driven legal team as we advance our clients' missions. You'll anticipate business needs and develop practical solutions with agility and action. You'll establish trusted partnerships across the firm and collaborate with fellow members of the Legal, Ethics, and Compliance team to secure and advance the company while navigating the complex, multifaceted, and often novel legal and compliance risks we face today. Guided by Booz Allen's purpose and values, together we'll anticipate and proactively prepare for the issues we'll encounter tomorrow. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:8+ years of experience practicing law in a law firm, corporate, or government environment
Experience with Intellectual Property (IP) issues affecting USG contractors, including data rights, and developing and managing formal and informal constructs to protect firm IP and intellectual capital
Experience with the complexities of patents, trademarks, copyright law, assertion, and defense of IP rights and usage of open-source software and data sets
Experience drafting and negotiating a broad range of transaction documents, including commercial sales terms, licenses, including SaaS and IaaS, strategic alliances, and reseller and maintenance arrangements
Experience with USG contracts law, including FAR and DFARS, and federal procurement laws and regulations
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide integrated and long-lasting solutions that can be maintained by business teams and others
Ability to listen actively and ensure that the right questions are being asked and answered, translate technical advice into succinct, clear, and direct business solutions, and train technical teams on their role in creating and protecting intellectual property
Ability to execute against clear goals, priorities, success metrics, and KPIs
Ability to be a member in good standing with a state bar, including the District of Columbia
J.D. degree, or Bachelor of Law (LL.B) from country of residence

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $153,400.00 to $285,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.EEO Commitment
