Network Engineer, Senior
Conduct network planning and design, including network protection schemes, network synchronization, and bandwidth availability and utilization. Provide Tier III and Tier IV technical support for diagnosing and resolving network-related issues. Validate network designs per customer specifications, including circuit protection, transport network selection, and interworking across networks. Apply technical expertise and assistance with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple network environments. Interface with civilian, military, contract vendors, and other technical staff to analyze business and technical requirements. Document engineering standards and develop network architecture and engineering designs and changes. Assist with evaluating current and emerging network technologies, conduct technical assessments, and make recommendations to the client.
-8+ years of experience with network engineering in a DoD or US government technical environment
-5+ years of experience in working with network monitoring, fault management, and performance analysis tools, including Splunk, What's Up Gold, or Riverbed
-Knowledge of network security concepts, best practices, and technologies, including SSH, IPsec, TACACs, firewall policies, and 802.1x
-Ability to analyze and design complex, multi-location, multi-vendor networks
-TS/SCI clearance required
-HS diploma or GED and 4+ years of experience with network engineering
-DoD 8570.01-M/8140 IAT II Certification, including Security+
-Microsoft MCT, MCSE, MCSA, Cisco CCNA, or CCNP Certification
-Knowledge of Defense Information System Network (DISN) or JavaServer Pages (JSP) network interoperability requirements
-Cisco CCIE Certification
