Maritime Military Advisor, Senior

Key Role:
Maintain responsibility for advising key leaders in a public sector organization, as the organization undergoes a large-scale transformation, including managing a complex stakeholder ecosystem to ensure program objectives are achieved. Work in a larger team construct to produce client-ready deliverables and formulate and present client recommendations. Advise key leaders and ensure that initiatives are being implemented, organizational readiness is accomplished for assigned missions, and change management principles will enable the organization to achieve mission tasks, as set forth by senior stakeholders. Work in a larger team construct to produce client-ready deliverables and formulate and present client recommendations. This position will require international travel and working onsite and offsite.

Basic Qualifications:

-20+ years of experience with mentoring or advising functional, government, or military leaders in a military force environment

-Experience at the O-5 and O-6 Commands and Navy Headquarters (OPNAV)

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including developing executive briefings

-Knowledge of Joint military operations, including Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps

-Knowledge of change management

-Ability to instruct, advise, and counsel in an international military environment

-Ability to employ inductive reasoning, problem-solving, and analysis

-Ability to collaborate on diverse, cross-functional teams, including technical and domain experts

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with leading large-scale transformation efforts, including implementing new strategies and reorganizations and standing up new organizations

-Experience with one or more functional military organization areas, including logistics, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I), strategies and plans, planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE), intelligence, Cyber, manpower and personnel, or training

-Ability to display basic proficiency a foreign language, including writing and speaking a plus

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate complex topics to diverse audiences

-MA or MS degree in National Strategic, Security Studies, or a related field

-Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus
