Graphics Designer, Mid

Key Role:
Turn information and data into easy-to-comprehend graphics that help convince others. Use engaging visualization and design techniques to highlight key take-aways and simplify complex concepts. Work on a multimedia team in a fast-paced environment with a constant flow of projects to support. Create infographics for an executive audience, design graphics and icons for presentations, and use layout fundamentals for documents. Help ensure the audience gets the information they need in a way that makes it easy for them to comprehend and plan their next steps. Learn how to fit expertise into the fast-paced world of Cybersecurity. This position requires the ability to work onsite 3 or more days per week and is located in McLean, VA.

Basic Qualifications:

-4+ years of experience in a professional work environment

-2+ years of experience with graphics design or visual communications

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Word and Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop

-Experience with formatting data into concise and visually appealing layouts

-Experience in dealing with clients when preparing infographics and data visualization products

-Ability to make final reports interactive to upload to the Web or act as standalone interactive PDFs

-Ability to submit a sample portfolio of work

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with UX/UI design

-Experience with SharePoint sites

-Ability to build animations using PowerPoint, After Effects, or other animating programs

-Ability to conduct video editing using After Effects, Premiere, or other editing software

-Ability to learn on the go

-Ability to be a self-starter and multi-task across multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced and team-based environment

-Ability to show an excellent portfolio showcasing broad design expertise and provide examples or artifacts of materials created

-Possession of excellent presentation, interpersonal, customer support, and collaboration skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree in Graphics Design or a related field
