Digital Circuit Design/Validation Engineer

Key Role:

Serve as a strategic consultant for high risk government research and development programs related to integrated circuit design and verification. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to impact national security investment through new development of military applications for cutting-edge technologies. Maintain and leverage technical expertise and relationships in serving clients. Provide technical management support and strategic assessments of new technologies in support of senior DoD decision makers, including conducting background research in evaluating the feasibility of and potential applications for new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government research and development efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience in working with major EDA tools and vendors

-3+ years of experience with industry standard circuit design, layout, verification, and emulation tools

-3+ years of experience with working on digital circuit design in a CMOS design environment

-Experience with chip-level integration and application-specific intelligence community design

-Ability to be self-motivated and work in a fast-paced environment

-Ability to commute to Arlington, VA

-Secret clearance

-MA or MS degree in EE or Computer Engineering

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non–technical audiences

-Experience with the design of electronic architectures using microprocessors and peripherals, including oscillators, SRAM, or Flash

-Experience with custom integrated circuit layout for digital, analog, and mixed-signal designs

-Experience with testing, evaluating, and debugging IC designs in a lab environment

-Experience with technical project or program management

-Experience with DoD research and development projects

-Experience with open source collaboration platforms

-Knowledge of multiple physics and engineering fields a plus

-Ability to stay abreast of current and emerging technologies in support of new concept development

-Possession of excellent client service skills

-PhD degree in EE or Computer Engineering
