Data Scientist Mid

Key Role:

Explore and exploit data sources through the use and creation of scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate business insights. Apply specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develop and contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance and review or guide activities of more junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with programming languages, including Python, C++, Java, or R

-Experience with data wrangling techniques to cleanse data for data science

-Experience creating machine learning models, including supervised, unsupervised or reinforcement

-Knowledge of deep learning concepts and neural networks

-Ability to explain how models are built and explain the results to non-technical staff

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience in industry as a data scientist

-Experience with data science frameworks such as DataBricks, Data Robot, or Cloudera

-Experience with Big Data technologies, including HDFS, Hadoop, or Spark

-Experience with deep learning packages, including Keras, Tensorflow, or PyTorch

-Experience operationalizing data science at scale

-Experience with Agile development

-Ability to quickly learn new skillsets to solve challenging problems

-Secret clearance or higher

-BA or BS degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, CS, or related field or MA or MS degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, CS, or related field
