Cyber Product Owner, Senior

Key Role:

Provide program support for a government client. Maintain responsibility for product ownership of the Network Access Control solution for a specific Request for Service (RFS). Develop and maintain product schedule and scope, elevate risk, and maintain quality delivery of capabilities, services, and deliverables associated with the RFS. Work with supporting teams, including architects, engineers, data integration, procurements, and quality assurance to ensure timely and quality delivery of capabilities and services throughout the period of performance. Facilitate discussions with key stakeholders on product statuses, working sessions, technical exchange meetings, and milestone reviews. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with data-driven, value-seeking product management practices to conduct solution improvements and strategic planning
  • 2+ years of experience with supporting cybersecurity programs
  • 2+ years of experience with agile development and usage of agile tools and methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience with defining and creating enhancement requests, user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing backlog, including organization-specific requirements and developing cybersecurity solutions
  • 2+ years of experience in collaborating with engineers and agency teams
  • Knowledge of software development processes and product life cycle
  • Knowledge of DHS SELC processes and gates
  • Ability to present product concepts to senior leaders through presentations
  • HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience with product management or BA or BS degree and 5+ years of experience with product management

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with using Jira to manage software and product development
  • Experience with ForeScout, Cisco ISE, Splunk, BigFix, Tenable Nessus, and Elasticsearch
  • Experience with supporting federal government or large-scale corporate programs
  • Ability to learn and apply new concepts, including a history of self-teaching and learning through doing
  • Ability to interface with senior leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and react to changing requirements with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to envision a big-picture vision at an enterprise level and the drive to make that vision a reality
  • Ability to engage with engineering teams, product manager and project managers.
  • Ability to apply analysis, diagnostics and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to encourage close collaboration across all roles and functions
  • MA or MS degree and 3+ years of experience with product management
  • Security+ or CISSP Certification
