Command and Control Systems Technician, Mid

The Challenge:

What if you could use your hardware and software skills to improve the technology supporting the US Navy? With so much relying on complex systems, a skilled systems administrator can be the difference that makes a project successful. We're looking for a systems administrator who will provide onsite Global Command and Control System – Joint (GCCS–J)/Tactical Command Operational Picture (COP) Systems (TCS) support.

As a systems administrator on our project, you'll travel to our client's locations to provide technical guidance, software installation, configuration management, system troubleshooting, and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) patching, coordinating software releases and ensuring GCCS–J/TCS availability. You'll learn how to design, deploy, and configure web infrastructure components including servlet application servers like Tomcat and JBoss. You'll analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission critical network. You'll be able to combine your technical experience with communication skills as you turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in integrating existing and newly fielded Joint and Marine Corps systems into the supported units GCCS–J/TCS architecture. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together. Join our team and solve daily challenges as we improve warfighter communications and systems for our clients.
