Description

The candidate for the Desktop Support Analyst position will provide, under limited supervision, technical support of personal computers (PCs), printers and basic server support in a network environment. This will include the delivery, installation and setup of such systems in the end-user community within our Stockton Distribution Center. This will include installation of approved software as well as the diagnostics of hardware and software problems encountered by the end-users. This is a position for 2nd shift and some weekends as required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Tier 2 support in the operation and management of Window desktops/laptops

  • Manage various types of medium-to-complex project initiatives, upgrades and maintenance activities Monitor our support call queues for new support calls and respond accordingly

  • Troubleshoot system/application issues of medium-level complexity and escalate issues accordingly 

  •  Manage various types of medium-to-complex project initiatives, upgrades and maintenance activities

  • Develop utilities to streamline standards and deployments methodologies

  • Monitor our support call queues for new support calls and respond accordingly

  • Troubleshoot system/application issues of medium-level complexity and escalate issues accordingly

  •  Develop utilities to streamline standards and deployments methodologies

  • Maintain PCs, printers, and servers; minimizing downtime
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software and LAN issues
  • Work with external vendors to resolve hardware and software issues
  • Configure PC's & Phones for new hires
  • Install software requested by the business
  • Create and maintain AS400 devices descriptions
  • Support Moves, Adds and Changes related to our warehouse environment
  • Work with end-users to develop and understand their business requirements
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex issues
  • Create and modify support documentation as related to the contact center infrastructure
  • Developing and maintaining images

QUALIFYING EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS in Business or Computer Science or AA with minimum of 3 years related work experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Able to adapt in a fast paced constantly changing  environment
  • Very strong PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills
  • Very strong knowledge in Microsoft Windows and Office 2010 Suite BO365
  • Basic server skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proven ability to work independently and self-motivated
