Baystate Health is seeking a Full-time Clinical Research Coordinator
Summary: The Clinical Research Coordinator is an essential member of the growing research team in the Clinical Trial Office. The Clinical Research Coordinator is multi-faceted with a mix of administrative, medical and patient duties. The primary responsibility is to conduct study activities under limited supervision in accordance with the protocol, in compliance with FDA, federal, state, and local regulations and good clinical practice. Responsibilities will include working with multiple principal investigators and study teams in a variety of clinical areas. The CRC will be responsible for day-to-day project leadership, maintaining timelines and overall organization for the assigned trials.
What you will do:
Demonstrate knowledge and ability to complete study activities for multiple complex clinical trial protocols.
Assist in screening, recruitment and retention of study subjects.
Assist with or conduct verbal or written consent process for study participation from research subjects and legally authorized representatives.
Assist with or conduct study visits and procedures under the supervision of the PI and senior study staff.
Collect, process, store and ship research samples.
Collect complex data and maintain a variety of electronic data bases.
Maintain study files and documentation in a highly organized manner.
Coordinates scheduling of protocol required tests and treatments.
Assists or conduct patient education related to the protocol.
Assists with the training of less qualified staff.
Responsibilities may include travel as needed for study related meetings.
What you will need:
Preferred Education BS/BA degree.
Prior research experience
Solid knowledge of medical terminology
Phlebotomy experience highly desired
Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail
Outstanding organizational skills
Flexible and adaptable to change
Adept at multi-tasking
Exceptional time management and follow through skills
Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as with a team
Proficient in Microsoft word, PowerPoint and Excel
Bilingual Spanish highly desired
Solid knowledge of State and Federal Regulations and Good Clinical Practice.
Certification: SoCRA or ACRP
Education:Bachelor of Science, GED or HiSET (Required)
Certifications:Certified Clinical Research Professional - Association of Clinical Research Professionals
