Position Overview Develops and manages the content for Basic Energy's safety training and corporate HSE communications. Under the direction of the QHSE Manager, the Corporate Safety & Training Representative develops QHSE training materials and is involved in safety program/policy revision. This position is also responsible for working within online contractor management platforms to provide accurate company QHSE statistical information, uploading HSE programs, training documents and insurance updates. This is a safety sensitive position. Major Responsibilities
Major duties:
Manages online contractor management platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce) and ensures client required requested information is accurate and provided prior to the deadlines.
Creates monthly safety meetings, tailgate talks, HSE leadership huddle and ensures the material is accessible by field level personnel.
Ensures the company remains in compliance with all regulatory and customer training requirements.
Complies companywide QHSE statistics for input into PowerBI, including mileage, and Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) and Workers Compensation (WC) registrars.
Responds to inquiries from field and customers relating to online contractor management platforms, HSE training and PowerBI statistics.
Responsible for the development and revision of organizational Health, Safety, and Environmental training courses
Conducts organization training needs assessments and identifies skills and customer training or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed.
Familiar with learning management systems (LMS) concepts, content input and review for computer-based instruction (CBI), eLearning, video based, and other distance learning training course development and revision efforts
Researches and provides technical expertise for course development or revision projects
Writes, develops or revises proprietary training materials for new and existing training programs such as charts, prepared notes, web cast scripts, training handbooks, lesson plans, exams, and other course documentation to ensure the technical accuracy of the training content
Writes, proofreads, and edits training documentation and materials for objectivity, writing style, manner of presentation, and format
Reviews, evaluates and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends changes as needed
Conducts field observations to develop training materials
Conducts trainings including group presentations or individual trainings at locations within the organization, on an as needed basis
Evaluates instructional effectiveness; develops instructional guides and supporting documents
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
2-4 years' experience developing, analyzing, and measuring instructional training programs
Knowledge of the oilfield servicing industry or other safety related industries
Strong written, oral and presentation skills; ability to communicate with employees at all levels
Working knowledge of MS Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety field.
Experience with web-based, e-learning programs and audio/visual equipment
Experience with OSHA, DOT, and EPA training
Bilingual English/Spanish language skills
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to travel.
