Position Overview This position is in the Human Resources Dept. and supports the company by doing data entry, filing, and administrative tasks. Works with a fast-paced team of other HR Records Assistants that support multiple business units across the company. This is a non-safety sensitive position. Major Responsibilities

Major duties:

  • Performs data entry, as needed, such as processing and administering employee records related to new hires, address changes, and other information into the company's HRIS system (Workday)

  • Monitors onboarding process to ensure compliance with company standards and policies (criminal background screens, drug screen results, MVR (Motor Vehicle Report) results, PSP, E-Verify, and Driver Exclusion (if needed)

  • Responsible to ensure all approvals have been received for certain processes outside Workday

  • Responds to information requests from internal and external sources (e.g. employment verifications, subpoenas, litigation)

  • Maintains employee personnel files (paper or electronic files)

  • Works in rotation with other HR Records Assistants to support the front desk and reception area

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills


  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education

  • Excellent organization and data entry skills, with attention to detail

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee data

  • Must have good computer skills such as using Microsoft Office software like Word

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as well as background check


  • Experience in data entry to HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP, SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, etc.

Physical Requirements:

  • Long periods sitting or being sedentary

  • Walking, occasional lifting up to 35 lbs., bending

  • Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use

  • Finger agility for keyboarding

Typical Working Conditions:

Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
