The Regional Manager is responsible for day-to-day functional supervision of clinics with more complexity than that of Practice Manager due to size, specialties, and/or #locations of offices.  Working under direction of the Regional Director, this individual must be competent and proficient in and must ensure the efficient execution of charge entry, insurance and payer validation, payroll editing, producing financial reports for physician review, scheduling team member vacations and time off, reviewing, interviewing, and assisting in the recommendation of new hires, maintaining necessary inventories for the delivery of patient care, ensuring team member compliance with policies and procedures, and participating in disciplinary actions.  The Regional Manager will also be available to team members to discuss problems and to direct employees to the appropriate person for counsel, and is required to keep the Regional Director informed with regard to team member concerns and problem areas.  The Regional Manager is responsible for role-modeling customer service and Patient-Centered Care for the clinics and will work with the Regional Director to identify and undertake initiatives in those areas.  The Regional Manager is accountable for meeting budget and understanding financial reports. Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred), and three to five years of supervisory experience in healthcare preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The individual must have good computer skills, and must be very familiar with frontline office functions such as medical terminology, managed care plans, medical insurance claim filing and charge entry, and various other functions of the office.  The ability to communicate effectively with employees, patients, and physicians is a necessity. ]]>
