Role Summary:

Baker Hughes Downstream Chemicals has a Petrochemical SalesSpecialist Position open for the Sugar Land, TX office. In this role, youwill:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for the Petrochemicals district
  • Engage with key stake-holders at potential customer facilities
  • Identify key sales targets and assist with the completion of short and long range sales goals
  • Mentor a team of chemicals sales representatives
  • Interface across internal BH organization
  • Ensure compliance with BH's Sales and Service Standards at multiple key customer accounts
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Identifies, reports, tracks, and closes Petrochemical growth opportunities, in both existing and new accounts
  • Builds strong relationships with key customers through value-selling and entertainment
  • Shares chemical treatment experience and troubleshooting ideas with account representatives
  • Provides technical oversight and continuity of communication for product trials at new customer sites
  • Establishes baseline service programs at newly won sales sites
  • Assists with business reviews, capabilities presentations, and key customer meetings for identified sales targets
  • Mentors junior chemical sales employees
  • Discovers and participates in petrochemical industry events, such as trade shows, to increase customer knowledge of BH products
  • Leverages interdepartmental cooperation between BH organizations to achieve sales targets
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of process chemical sales and service experience within petrochemical plants
  • Strong understanding of petrochemical processes and objectives
  • Proven sales experience in the range 500k plus in the petrochemical treatment industry
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver significant growth
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Expertise in sales and marketing
  • Strong at building customer relationships at all levels of customer organization
Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong relationships in the Petrochemical industry
  • Willing to travel if required
  • 15+ years of process chemical sales and service experience within petrochemical plants
  • Boiler, wastewater, and cooling water chemical treatment experience
Locations: Support - US Gulf Coast territories
