Job Description
The selected applicant will provide technical support of Communications- Electronics (C-E) equipment, systems, subsystems, and ancillaries in fixed/mobile communications facilities/platforms for the Department of Defense (DoD), US Special Operations Forces (SOF), and other government agencies as directed. Technical support services may include evaluation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation, integration, and modification of C5ISR systems and equipment.

Additional tasks include assembling components and subassemblies following production drawings, fabricating cables, and installing equipment into vehicles, boats, or ships. Travel to various US locations will be required and periodic short-term (<30 days) travel to OCONUS locations may be required.

The hourly rate for this position is set at $27.55 and is not negotiable.

This position is located in San Diego. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to San Diego or surrounding areas.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Military communications or electronics training
High school diploma and at least two years of related experience
Ability to read schematics and production drawings
Ability to travel within the United States and some limited foreign travel (up to 50%)
Active security clearance and ability to maintain
Familiarity with and use of hand tools

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Military Electronics class "A" school
BICSI training/certification
Cableway training such as NAVSEA Cableway Certification
Experience with Audio / Visual / Teleconferencing installation
OSHA 10/30 hour course Maritime or General Industry
Fall Protection Training for working at height
