Job Description

Working as part of our Helpdesk team, you'll help support our Automated Fuel Systems program and customers around the globe. The Lab Tech will be responsible to managing all aspects of the AFS Lab, to include the test equipment, kitting, testing, and the RMA process. They'll coordinate closely with our Lab SME, Tier Two personnel, and Field Technicians, to ensure properly functioning parts are available and correctly shipped to sites. They will also be responsible for maintaining any inventory assigned to the lab area, as well as the upkeep and tracking of program tooling.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent and formal electronics training from technical school, Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or completion of four (4) year electronics apprenticeship program

  • Ability to acquire and maintain U.S. government security clearance and Common Access Card (CAC)

  • Ability to acquire and maintain corporate credit card

  • Valid state driver's license

  • Practical experience, to include: Electronics Repair, Maintenance, Integration, Fielding and Checkout

  • Proficient with MS Windows OS, MS Office & Adobe software and must be able to gain access to government's BMC Remedy database

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience performing removal, installation, maintenance, testing, and calibration of Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE), Airfield Refueling Electrical Supervisions and Control Systems (ARES), or Automated Tank Gauging (ATG) automation instrumentation and sensors. Specifically, expertise in the following “Series ATG Systems”: Veeder Root TLS-350/450 (TLS), Ronan (X76CTM), ENRAF 854 Servo, Barton 3500, MTS Level Plus, and Pneumercator TMS3000. Expertise in corrective maintenance on the following communications devices of the ATG systems: RTU 8130 associated modules; Phone switches, External and Internal Modems

  • Experience installing or maintaining industrial control systems. Experience with Government fuel accounting systems (AFHE, FMD, FAS, BSM-E, ATG)

  • Experience with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems, including one or more of the following: Veeder-Root, Ronan, Enraf, Barton, and Pneumercator. Red Lion interface. Experience with Independent Alarm Systems including one or more of the following: Scully, Magnetrol, E&H, Fafnir, Mercoid, Omnitrol, Pneumecator, TLC, Bindicator, Devar, Aggressive Systems

  • Experience with Overfill Protection or Ground Verification Systems, including one or more of the following: Scully, Varec, Fafnir, GE Fanuc Programmable Logic Controllers

  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, including GE Fanuc and WAGO

  • Experience with serial data communications (e.g., RS-232, RS-485)
