BAE Systems is pleased to announce an exciting contingent opening for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Federal IT business located in Mclean, VA in the March 2021 timeframe.
BASIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
To apply basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles to support various programs, as well as miscellaneous delivery/task order awards.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Finance interface with Program Management/Operations on assigned projects
- Pull weekly GL reports from COGNOS and reconcile the data, preparing and submitting adjusting entries as required when errors are discovered
- Prepare project setup forms
- Track contract deliverables.
- Track and monitor obligation expenditures.
- Track all assigned projects' creation, expenditures, and closeout
- Complete monthly account reconciliations
- Support month-end closing activities
- Enter forecast data into Hyperion.
- Support other ad hoc analysis, projects, or data request
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typical Education and Experience:
Master's Degree & 2 years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree & 4 years of related experience
Associates Degree & 6 years of related experience
High School Diploma and 8 years of related experience
Excellent command of MS Office Suite to include: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Experience in program finance and government contracting for multiple contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M).
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with Deltek, CostPoint, Hyperion, Earned Value Management, working with Deltek Cobra, and Microsoft Access a plus.
