This role is eligible for a $1500.00 sign-on bonus, provided you successfully complete all pre-employment requirements subject to the terms and conditions of the offer.  Former associates of six months or less are not eligible.

Medical Asst - Float Staffing 001 - Full-Time,Rotating

 

Do you like variety in your Medical Assisting career?  Seeing different patients and utilizing and learning different skills?  If so, the Float Pool may be a great fit for you.  This position is a full time MA position that will cover the South Region.  Float incentive will also be provided.

 

General schedule M-F 8-5pm, might include some extended evening hours 11-7pm. May include an occasional weekend shift.

What You Will Do

As an Associate with AMITA Health, you will have the opportunity to assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
  • Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
  • Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. 
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Medical Assistant. 

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant preferred

Work Experience:

  • Medical Assistant experience or training
