Adecco is assisting one of our top clients in a search for a passionate Transportation Sales Manager for their Long Island location. The role is to help support the company's brokers!  The client has been around since 1990 currently employs over 500 people globally, across 27 offices on six continents. Job Description

  • Manage ground transportation bookings from inquiry to completion
  • Identify and eliciting new client opportunities
  • Provide rate quotes to clients for services
  • Conduct presentations in client facing and carrier facing meetings
  • Perform client interactions like prospecting, qualifying, cold calling, negotiating, and closing deals
  • Build wide and effective networks of contacts inside and outside the organization
  • Work productively in a pressurized environment
  • Keep up to date with market trends; controls cost and thinks in terms of profit, loss and added value
  •  Monitors and maintains quality and productivity
  • Complies with legal obligations and safety requirements of the role
  • Flight following and providing as back-up to Operations team Qualifications
  • Previous transportation sales background
  • Knowledge of the trucking industry and market
  • Ability to provide transportation sales training to brokers
  • Basic Aviation knowledge
  • Enjoys working to goals and objectives in a competitive environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong numeracy skills Additional Information
