Adecco Search is currently recruiting qualified candidates for direct hire for a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC in Hauppauge, NY (Long Island).  Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills are required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturers specifications.
  •  Execute changeovers of equipment and tools from one product to the next.
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize, troubleshoot and solve production line problems.
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience working on Pharma manufacturing equipment.
  • Closely work with operators on the floor and provide daily production support.
  • Be proficient in using various hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring and testing instruments.
  • Observe machines in operation to troubleshoot issues. Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts and replace using necessary tools.  Trouble shoot and repair electrical equipment.
  • Inspect parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements (cams, sprockets, belts, cylinders etc.) using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Able to start and shut down various packaging machines.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read troubleshooting manuals, and/or electrical schematics.
  • Must be able to operate a variety of maintenance shop tools/machines. 
  • Strong mechanical skills required. 
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience working on Pharma manufacturing equipment.
