Responsibilities - Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information - Ensure employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and confidential information - Payroll information management via collecting, calculating, and entering data - Certify compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines - Payroll record maintenance by tracking changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers - Able to reconcile employee deductions and other liabilities - Review source documents with necessary verification - Answer questions and requests related to payroll information - Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation - Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports - Detail all payroll liabilities by establishing employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payment - Handle other duties as necessary - Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures - Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll

Requirements

- Prior experience working with collections/accounting software - Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills - 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll - Certified Payroll Professional designation favored - Prior experience working with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. - Mastery of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements - Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills - Well-informed in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen - Payroll Tax experience - Strong familiarity with Payroll Tax Reporting - Earlier work involving Superior Customer Service - Background working with customer service - Foundational knowledge in Payroll Tax Returns - Experience with Payroll Taxes - General familiarity with numeric data entry - Practical knowledge of Perform Data Entry - Local Payroll Tax experience - Adeptness in Computer Data Entry - Demonstrated knowledge of data entry - Typing Data Entry experience highly preferred - Knowledge of internal controls
